AW YIS :D

The high pitched whine of an approaching sparrow joins the throaty repetition of Hard Light's rounds, a welcome sound provided whatever passing Guardian was here to help and not just on their way to somewhere else. Then the flash of a fusion rifle and the Wizard disengages, the nearest Acolyte's head exploding as a heavy slug rips through it and let it never be said that Aegis couldn't seize an opportunity presented. He fires off a few more rounds to push the other Hive back and ducks behind the nearest rock outcropping big enough to cover him. He's joined a second later by the new arrival and if he understands that grin he can hear in his fellow Titan's voice, it's because he shares it. This is going to be good.

"With pleasure. Keep her off my back for a second." A mass of rank and file Hive were perfectly capable of taking down a pair of Guardians just as fast as the Wizard herself, but Aegis is ready to even the odds.

He slings his rifle across his back and bolts around their cover. The Acolytes are back out, firing both from out in the open and from their own hiding spots, but very shortly it's not going to matter. Void bolts slam into his shield, too little too late. He leaps.

It's like euphoria when the Arc energy gathers, lightning crackling, sharp and electric. His whole world narrows down to just this one moment. He slams down with all the force of a thunderbolt, the Fist of Havoc sweeping out in a cleansing wave, disintegrating anything unlucky enough to be caught in its radius. Bits of charred armor and bone clatter to the ground. Time snaps back into focus.

He breaks the instant the Wizard whips around in his direction, scrambling for cover just ahead of the volley of projectiles she launches at him, cracking into the ground just behind his heels. There's one last Acolyte hiding behind cover, lucky enough to have escaped the initial blast, but Aegis remedies the problem in his usual manner: crushing the creature's head between his fist and the rock. He skids in to take its place.

"Let her have it!"
